How does IPL works?

During the process, high energy light waves are made to penetrate deep into your skin layer. These light waves destroys the dead skin cells and helps to stimulate the production of collagen (the protein which is responsible for skin firmness and elasticity).

When the amount of collagen in the skin increases, your skin becomes more supple and smooth, and the growth of new skin cells is encouraged.

When can I expect to see results?

Right after your first IPL session, your skin will feel rejuvenated, brighter and smoother. However, around 3-4 sessions are recommended for more effective and enduring results.

Am I able to get back to normal routine after treatment?

There is no downtime for IPL treatment. Hence, you are able to get back to normal routine or work post treatment. However, it is important to use sunscreen and make sure the treated area of the skin is not exposed to direct sunlight because tanning post treatment sessions can increase melanin regeneration, which is likely to cause hyperpigmentation.
